        D er dunkle, schöne, hintergründige Lancelot ist von eleganter Erscheinung und dennoch ein kühner Reiter und fast unbesiegter Kämpfer. Alle Frauenherzen fallen ihm zu, umso mehr als seine unerfüllbare Liebe zu Guinevra ihn unnahbar und tragikumwittert macht.
         E r ist der Typ des "Avalon- Mannes", der um die alten Weisheiten weiß, den alten Wegen folgt. Er nimmt zwar das Christentum vordergründig an, ist aber "vom alten Blut" und bleibt der Insel verbunden, deren Herrin ihn geboren hat. Später folgt er bis in den Untergang der Suche nach dem heiligen Gral, der eigentlich der heilige Kessel Avalons ist.

        The Queens knight
        T he dark, beautiful, misterious Lancelot is of an elegant appearance and still a daring knight and a nearly invincible fighter. The hearts of all women fly towards him even more because his love to Guinevra that is hopeless from the beginning makes him unapproachable and darkened with tragic.

        H e’s the type of the "Avalon-man", who knows of the old wisdom, follows the old ways. He appears to accept the Christian beliefs, but he’s "from the old blood" and stays connected with the holy island of Avalon who's Lady has given birth to him. Lateron he goes in search of the holy grail which is really the cauldron of Avalon blindly and like doomed.
